Q.  How much will my item cost to be gold plated?

A. This varies greatly depending on a few factor's ie size/condition etc, if your item is large & in a poor condition this will incur extra charges to bring the metal up to a plating standard.

 

Q. How long will it take before i get my item back?

A. We aim to return your item/s within  7 - 14 days although somtimes during busy periods this may be increased to 21 days, you will be advised of any delays.

 

Q. Do you use genuine gold?

A. Yes we use genuine 24k gold.

 

Q. Can you gold plate in other shades of gold?

A. Yes we can Gold plate in 24k / 18k /  antique & rose gold.

 

Q.   I only have a small item i want plated do   you have a minimum charge?

A. Yes £20.

 

Q. How long will my gold plating last?

A. This depends on certain factors & how much wear & tear the item will receive,care must be taken with any plated item/s and never polished with any harsh cleaners/chemicals as this will damage & in some cases remove the plated surface, our plating should last many years.

 

Q. Will you plate my item with a thick layer of gold?

A. Yes we always build a suitable layer of gold for a lasting effect.

 

Q. Will it peel off within a few weeks?

A. No.... our gold will last for a long time if looked after in the correct way & will never peel, peeling is a sign of poor preperation and cleaning prior to gold plating.

 

Q. Can you remove pits and small scratches from my item?

A. If their is enough metal below the pits/scratches, and the blemishes are not to severe we can usually polish these marks out, but we will never risk distorting any item where the metal is to thin.

 

Q. Do you do other plating other than gold?

A. Yes we can plate in Nickel & Silver .

 

Q. Can you plate on aluminum?

A. Yes.

 

Q. Do you plate plastic?

A. Yes we plate on most common plastics, although this form of plating requires special preperation and will reflect this in the price.

 

Q. What is your preferred method of payment?

A. A personal or Business cheque sent with your item/s.

 

Q. Do you take credit / Debit card payments?
